STARTING YOUR JOURNEY WITH US - 

OUR INITIAL MEETING:

To ensure your design reaches its full potential, the lighting design should be done at the very beginning of a project before final design and plans are submitted to council. It may still be possible to adjust lighting design if you have pasted this stage, providing we get involved prior to electrical rough in & fix. 

CREATING YOUR DESIGN:

Once the design schematic and budget has been approved, your lighting designer will create the detailed drawings and specification.

We normally liaise with your electrical contractor and we will answer any queries they may have regarding the scheme.

We STRONGLY recommend you discuss, choose, and supply/purchase your own lighting ,rather than leaving it in the hands of electricians and builders.-this will be explained in greater detail at the showroom.

PREPARING FOR BUILD:

As the project is prepared for build, we will produce a final set of all the signed off documentation for the team on site to carry out the installation. This requires a final update to the lighting design package based on all the latest project information.

ELECTRICIANS & TECHNICIANS:

You may be working with your builders or your own electrician  - thats ok, we will work with them. 

However we can recommend a number of qualified electricians who are familiar with our fittings and process, and can arrange for a quotation for installation, for you.

We strongly advise the use of an approved electrician to ensure an accurate and professional installation.

SITE VISIT:

Our design service is bespoke and tailor made to the project and how the space will be used. It is essential for the delivery of a successful project for our lighting design team to be fully aware of changing site conditions and architectural elements in practice.Your designer will also be happy to visit site during the first/second fix stage, this would be charged at our normal hourly fee as detailed in our initial fee proposal and can be arranged and charged at an additional hourly fee.

REVISIONS:

Projects generally, progress organically, at least in part, and revisions may be required to ensure that the lighting design remains relevant to the latest interior design or architectural detailing.

We will ensure that we coordinate with other project consultants to incorporate any changes that may be required. Revisions will be charged at the hourly rate for design time and for marking up of the plans.

SELECTIONS IN OUR STUDIO:

There will also be the scope for a number of decorative fixtures, in  your project. A  feature pendant in your entrance hall, dining room or over your kitchen island bench, makes a real statement. Perhaps we are custom designing a light fixture,  it maybe a grand crystal chandelier,  or an architectural piece. We can custom  colour fittings, to match your interior / exterior  colour scheme.
